You can use your NEXUS Card at participating international airports, at land crossings between Canada and the US that have NEXUS lanes, and when travelling between the two countries by boat.
Using Your NEXUS Card at Airports
You can use your NEXUS Card at security and customs at the following airports in Canada (listed from east to west):
- Halifax Robert L. Stanfield International Airport
- Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport
- Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport
- Toronto Pearson International Airport
- Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport
- Calgary International Airport
- Edmonton International Airport
- Vancouver International Airport
NEXUS Cards can also be used at Billy Bishop (Toronto Island) Airport but only on incoming flights.
You can use your NEXUS Card at Global Entry kiosks at the following airports in the United States (listed alphabetically by state name):

Finally, you can use your NEXUS Card at select airports outside of Canada and the United States only if you are flying directly to the United States.

Using Your NEXUS Card US-Canada Border
The busiest border crossings along the Canada-US border have dedicated NEXUS pass lanes. You can only use these lanes if everyone in your vehicle has a NEXUS Card. Here they are from west to east:

You can also use your NEXUS Card at Sentri lanes entering the US from Mexico.
Using Your NEXUS Card at Marine Crossings
NEXUS members can use their NEXUS Cards to skip maritime inspection when travelling by private watercraft (aka pleasure boat). All people on the boat must have NEXUS Cards. If you are caught crossing the border by boat with someone in your boat who does not have a NEXUS Card, your membership may be revoked.
Canada and the US have slightly different ways of handling marine entries. See below for how to properly cross. If you are asked to appear for physical inspection you must comply or risk both the loss of your membership and fines and arrest.
Entering Canada with a NEXUS Card by Water
You can use your NEXUS Card at over 400 telephone reporting sites across Canada. When you enter into Canadian waters, you will have to immediately travel to one of these reporting sites where you will be connected to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Go here for the list.
Entering the United States with a NEXUS by Water
NEXUS Card holders are normally allowed to bypass reporting in person at a port of entry. Provided everyone in the boat has a NEXUS Card, the boatmaster can call in to Customs and Border Protection, instead, as if you were entering Canada. Go here for a list of all the reporting stations.
